I hear you....
My mind, eyes and ears all keep being drawn to a particular word at the moment…..
CONNECTION and the importance of quality connections for our physical, mental and emotional health.
I am not ashamed to say, I have had frequent periods in my life of late where I have felt disconnected, not only from others but also to my self. On occasions it has felt like I have been floating out alone at sea watching inland from afar....
And the thing that bought me back to shore......leaning into my practice and the beautiful web of women that I am lucky enough to have in my life and community
Even though we are out on the other side from the past few years, the ripple effects are still very much tangible and simultaneously knowing how I have been held and soothed through the support of others, it has created a longing and desire within me to weave a deeper and stronger sense of connection. A desire to foster friendships and support and community through my offerings .
I am only too aware of how precious our time is and in a world which briefly slowed down and allowed some of us to fully exhale and pause for possibly, the first time in years, it now feels like we are revved back up and on the go at 100 miles an hour...
And perhaps this is why periods of rest and connection are now even more vital to our wellbeing.
Isn't it ironic that the occasions we need the balm of rest, the connection to breath and support from kindred spirits, are the exact times we feel we don't have the time or energy to seek it out?
But when we take it, when we decide we are worthy of rest, nourishing connection and being held in the arms of supportive folk, I have seen and felt the potency of this medicine and it's something I want to share.
It was this knowing which formed the spark of an idea for my new monthly in-person offering on a Sunday morning here in Cambridge, where the intention to nurture our body-mind with nourishing movement and connection with others, lies at its heart.
So, let us come together to pause and lean into 60 minutes of slow nourishing restorative vibes followed by 30 minutes of sharing tea/coffee and maybe a little cake (it is a Sunday after all) and simply take time to connect. We may choose to share our Week, our stories, our ideas and aspirations or simply just listen..... There is no set agenda, just a good old fashioned chat over tea.
Easy connections like this can be powerful. It can fuel healing . It can be light and joyous and one of the best ways to NURTURE ourselves and others.
If you'd like to join me in some delicious restorative yoga, chat, chai and cake then you can find the dates and details here....
Any questions you have, just drop me a line.
With love
Ray
