Asana Insights: A Holistic Exploration of Postures, Breath, and Movement Class Details: 07|01 - 11|02 2025 Online 7.15-8.15pm DROP IN £9 Dive into the heart of yoga with a journey through its essential asana categories—inlcuding standing, forward folds, and backbends. Explore how these postures influence our physical body, emotional well-being, and energetic flow. Each session integrating mindful movement, breathwork, and invitational alignment cues, offering a balanced and transformative practice to deepen connection to yourself. Sometimes, the beauty and simplicity of yoga can be buried beneath layers of themes and intentions. This six-week course is an invitation to return to the essence of the practice—its beautiful bones—and approach it with a beginner’s mind. • How does each group of postures make you feel? • What sensations arise in your body and energy system? • Does a particular asana spark an emotional response? Each week, we’ll explore a different category of asana—standing postures, forward folds, backbends, side bends, twists, and inversions. Through this lens, we’ll uncover their physical, energetic, and emotional effects on the body, heart, and mind. Every session offers a fully-rounded flow practice, lovingly curated with invitational alignment cues, breathing practices, and mudras to deepen connection and awareness. These practices are energetically balanced, leaving you with a profound sense of Sukha (ease). Yoga’s practice extends far beyond the physical, but the body is often a beautiful doorway into its deeper gifts. Whether you’re returning to your mat after a break or nurturing a regular practice, this course offers an opportunity to reconnect with your inner wisdom, cultivating balance, ease, and insight.
